Rabies Vaccinations and Other Services

North Carolina Law requires that all dogs and cats over (4) four months of age be vaccinated against rabies.  Help stop this deadly disease, have your pet vaccinated against rabies.  For more information, contact the Stokes County Animal Shelter (336) 994-2788

RABIES CLINICS are held each Tuesday from 1:30pm-3:30pm on a first come, first served basis. The cost $10 PER VACCINE, these are one-year vaccines.  Open to Dogs, Cats and Ferrets. Please leave pets in your vehicle upon arrival, owner must come in to register and pay before services are rendered.
 
UPDATE: 
The animal shelter previously offered weekly, low-cost Rabies clinics as an additional service to the community, and it is now back open. Please read above for day and times services will be available.  Also, look out for advertisements for Animal Control holding Rabies Clinics in different parts of the county throughout the summer months starting around the end of July. It is the owner’s responsibility to keep their pets up to date on Rabies vaccines per North Carolina General Statute 130A-185.  Thank you for your continued support!
