EN What Can I Bring To An Inmate
The Stokes County Jail does not allow anyone to bring an inmate property. The only thing an officer may accept for an inmate is a money order (no cash) to be placed in the inmate’s account. All other items must be purchased from the commissary. There is a Kiosk in the jail lobby where cash or a debit/ credit card can be used to deposit money in the inmates account. Money can also be deposited through the internet.
Money order funds will be held for 10 days waiting on the money order to clear the bank.
Commissary is ordered through the phone system in the inmate housing areas.
The maximum amount of money an inmate is allowed to have is $200.00.
